Cytodon

Citodon is a brand-name formulation of codeine and paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen. Codeine is in a group of drugs called narcotic painkillers. Paracetamol is a less potent painkiller that enhances the effects of codeine. The two drugs are combined and used to relieve moderate to severe pain.

Citodon is a painkiller used for moderate to severe pain of various kinds, such as pain in fractures, endometriosis, postoperative pain, bones and more. Codeine is converted (metabolized) in the body by morphine. Analgesic (pain-relieving) effect is achieved after half an hour to an hour. Concomitant use of alcohol should be avoided.
